Bridging the generation gap between today’s youth and today’s adults will not be the easiest thing to accomplish but I believe that it can be done. In December 2013 I was given the task to be the instructor of the Sunday school class of the men and the young boys, this was a combined class. I gave everyone three pieces of paper, the paper had questions on there, the questions were designed help the older man and the younger man get to know each other, and to build relationships. Over the years there has been a lot of older generation giving up on the younger generation and younger generation not listening to the older generation, I believe that if both generations made an effort to get to know each other better, that a lot of distrust, disrespect and judgment would not be there. Building the bridge that will connect both generations cannot be done only by one side but both sides have to put some work in.  Truth be told both generations are not that different they both went and or will go thru the same things but will go thru them differently.  At the end of the day the same bills that adults pay now are the same bills that the youth will have to pay when they become adults. The bible says in proverbs 22:6 (train up a child in the way they should go even when they are old they will not depart from it). Youth cannot teach youth to be adults.  Someone said that this generation is a failure if this is true, than that means the generation before this has failed the youth of today and themselves. Here are a few questions that help build a bridge.

Are you training up a child the way they should go?

What have you done to help this generation of youth?

What have you invested in the youth of today?
