When God Say’s No
Acts 16:6-8
What do you do when God say’s no? How do you respond to the no’s of God?
I know we get excited when God say’s yes. But what happens when God say’s no and God does say no sometimes. All you need to do is just read your bible and you will find time after time where God say’s no. Don’t believe what you see on T.V. God will say yes to everything you ask that not biblical, yes God does say yes but it is equally true according to God’s word that God does say no. You have to remember that when you pray that you are asking God for something and that it is possible God might say yes or no. Remember when Jesus was in the garden praying that the cup of suffering would be removed if God told Jesus the sinless one no what makes you think that he not going to tell a sinner no, it kills me how we sin so much and think that we can ask God for anything and just expect him to say yes.
One thing I like about Paul is that he was a everyday Christian and not a once or twice a week Christian, Paul had one Identity some of us come on Sunday with our Christian identity then when Monday comes around we turn back to our real identity. I believe the reason we don’t stay with our Christian identity everyday is because we don’t want to listen to God everyday especially when he says no when we want to hear a yes Young People all we want to hear is yes, yes, yes.
If you think about it no one really likes to hear the word no. One of the main reasons some people voted for president Barack obama is because he said yes we can, we are addicted to the word yes. God does not say no just to say no there is “something behind the no”. Don’t get mad at God because you think he ruined your party, don’t think God doesn’t care and love you. Don’t think God doesn’t know what he is doing I’m here to tell you that God knows the outcome to every situation. So when God tells you NO you should praise him, thank him and keep it moving. If you read verses 7 and 8 you will notice that when God told Paul and his crew do not enter into the cites and that they did not enter all they did was just kept it moving. Notice that Paul did not question God. We question God to much im here to let you know that you cannot change Gods answer you may not listen to him but that don’t mean that the answer has changed. With God no means no . So when your bf or gf break up with you don’t thinks it’s the end of the world and don’t ask God why. There is a song wrote by Garth Brooks here are lyrics

One of the best things you can do when God tell you no is to trust his word. Don’t let the no’s of God be a speed bump in your life you we have to learn how listen to God and stop thinking we can take care of ourselves because without God truth be told You are nothing.
