Your Pain Can Help Bless Someone Else

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 2 Corinthians 1:3-6 As a minister, I often meet people at some of their lowest points in life. It has always been interesting to me the degree people will go to hide the painful parts of their life. We tend to portray our lives as struggle-free. We mask our hurts with fake smiles and half-hearted clichés of wellbeing. I am not an advocate of blasting one’s struggles to everyone who will listen. I’m a private person myself. The truth is, however, that one person’s struggle helps another struggling with the same issue. It’s easier to identify with someone once you’ve experienced what he or she is experiencing. It is much more difficult to know how another person feels if you have never walked where he or she is walking. For...

Staying Away From Drama

Drama has gotten to big in our lives, some people live off of drama, they are like a crack head they need they daily or weekly fix. There fix most of the time are these fake reality shoes. Where it get bad is that when we start to try to add unnecessary drama in our lives . One of the biggest markets in the world in my eyes is drama, drama sells and people have become famous and rich off of drama, kids are now saying that I need to be on bad girls club or the real word to make a lot of money not knowing that most of these shoes if not all are not reality at all. Drama is taking this Generation down i understand that a show is just a show and I don’t have problem with it, but i do have problem with youth trying to be a reality star or feeding off of drama rather than going to school or trying to better themselves, and can i say its not just the youth are want to be on the shows but its there parents also. 5 Tips To Keep You Away From Drama    Keep the circle small – As much as you need others around you and you shouldn’t isolate yourself from people, not everyone needs to know the intimate details of your...

My Saturday

old pic of me     This is a Saturday that I really have nothing to do, this is the first saturday that I didn’t have to do anything in months. I been watching college football and there are some really good games on today to name one West Virgina University (WVU) vs Baylor University (BU) they scored 133 points Between them can you say no Defense lol. I asked my self today why are Fridays and Saturdays the most boring days for me personally, if I’m not working I’m not doing anything at all. Im not a partier like most people my age but I know there is something for me to do, I need to figure that out. Maybe on my next free Saturday I will go sight seeing since I have not been since I have living in the bay area. On another note my iphone 5 is still not here and should of been here over a week ago, everyday is something new with it but at the end of the day I’m still grateful to even have a phone, but my hopes are like a roller coster, every time they call I think its here lol but I’m sure in due time it will be here. By the way I really like writing in my blog and its becoming about of me now and...

Dealing With Pain

Here are 7 biblical ways: Expect God to use pain for good – Genesis 50:20, Romans 8:28 Use it to comfort others with similar pain – 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 Reconsider your perspective on the pain – Romans 8:18 Receive the honor of suffering pain – Philippians 1:29 Accept the normality of pain – 1 Peter 4:12 Celebrate His sufficiency during pain -2 Corinthians 12:8-9 Look for the reward in suffering through pain – 2 Timothy 4:7-8 How we respond to emotional pain is a choice we make. The promises of God are real, even during our times of suffering. In the earliest days of any trial, we may not see any of these truths at work. That’s okay. We are frail people. The key is as we move forward, what we do with the pain in the days to come. Painful times are not going away in this earthly life. Jesus told us that. Learning to rest in Him is part of maturing as followers of Christ. Suffering reminds us that His grace is sufficient for all our pain. In fact, though I don’t completely understand it, His power is perfect in our weakness, but only when I surrender the pain to Him. We are not intended to handle pain alone. Thankfully, by His grace, we don’t have to. Thank you Rev. H.B....

The Road To Greatness

How does the world judge a man to be great? Often men are declared to be great if they have the ability to influence heads of state or leaders in society as Statesmen. These are often found as Leaders of Nations, peacekeepers and builders of society. James Madison, John Quincy Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Martin Luther King, Barack Obama, Thomas Jefferson, James Munroe and John Adams are a few names that come to mind. Some men are declared to be great because they have the ability to put the ball in the hoop, or a knack for getting in the end zone, or can hit the ball out of the park or get on base, or score a lot of goals, or keep the ball on the fairway. A few men throughout history have had greatness placed upon them because of their ability to discover the secrets of science and mathematics; bringing the whole of mankind into a new realm of knowledge and creating a better way of life. Who among us have not heard of Sir. Isaac Newton and his study of gravity. He discovered gravity supposedly when an apple fell out of the tree and hit him on the head and he couldn’t understand why. Aristotle the philosopher and scientist, Galileo and his studies of the stars and inventor of the telescope, Albert Einstein Marie Curie and...
