September 11, 2001 A Day I Will Never Forget

Today is September 11, 2012, 11 years ago today will always be a day that will live in infamy in my generation, just like it did to those was effected on December 7, 1941 when the Japanese bombed perl harbor. This is a day that we as a nation pay our respects, and take time to remember those who died, in the world trade centers, pentagon, and the airplane that was headed for the white house. This is also a day that you will always remember where you were and what you was doing when you first heard or seen the attacks, some of us cant remember what we did last week but we can remember facts about 11 years ago, thats the effect of this day. I remember a lot about September 11,2001. I remember i was in 7th grade at this time and I had stayed over my dad house who i didn’t live with, I woke up about 6:30am hoped in the shower. When I got out of the shower I saw my dad in a death stare with the television, so I looked at the Television also and saw that one sky scrapper  was on fire the other one was fine I didn’t know what a trade center was at that time. As I’m getting dressed and watching the T.V. I see a plane come...

The Importance of Regular Church Attendance By Rev. H.B. Charles

This post was written by Rev H.B. Charles it is a great read.   And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. – Hebrews 10:24-25 Here are 25 reasons why you should regularly take part in the public and corporate worship assemblies of your local congregation: 1. The word of God teaches it (Heb. 10:24-25). A high and correct view of scripture demands regular church attendance. 2. Corporate worship is where the preaching and teaching of God’s word takes place (2 Tim. 4:1-5). 3. It follows the example set by the Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 4:16). 4. It honors the best and brightest day of the week – Sunday, the Lord’s Day – the day on which the Lord Jesus rose from the dead. 5. It is a wise and proper use of the privilege we have to publicly and corporately worship God. There are Christians in other lands who do not have this freedom. The only way for us to express our gratitude for this liberty is to use it faithfully and thankfully. 6. Your neglect of corporate worship grieves the Holy Spirit who lives within the individual believer and the church as a whole (Eph. 4:30)....

How President Obama plans to move America forward

President Obama took office four years ago, when the country was facing two wars and the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. He immediately began working to turnaround an economy in freefall, bring the troops home, and lay the foundation for an economy built from the middle out. Four years later, we’ve added back more than 4.5 million private sector jobs over 30 straight months of job growth. But there’s more to do. Obama for America’s Policy Director James Kvaal outlines the real, achievable national goals the President has laid out to keep moving this country forward: Double U.S. exports: In 2010,President Obama launched an initiative to doubleexports over five years and created the National Export Initiative to promote U.S. goods and remove trade barriers, expand access to credit, and promote strong growth worldwide. In 2010 and 2011, exportsby 36%, putting us on course to reach our goal. So far, record-breaking exports have supported an additional 1.2 million jobs. President Obama will help American businesses finish the job by the end of 2014, making sure that no foreign company has an unfair advantage over U.S. companies by offering more aggressive financing and opening new markets. The Trans-Pacific Partnership that will open up new markets totaling 40% of global trade to more U.S. goods. He’ll also continue to crack down on China’s unfair trade practices to ensure that American workers...

Sanford vs Duke fundraiser

Tonight was our second Stanford football game, I’m so proud of the youth that come out and worked very hard to raise Money for the youth ministry. Its hard work and after we are done we are always tired but we press our way on. Tonight was a little different becuase our usual stand leader Ms Pam Sims was not with us tonight and to be honest i was a little nervous about me being the only voice in the stand, but it all worked it self out the kids didn’t do anything out of the normal. Jose our replacement stand leader did a good job for us but he not Ms. Pam. Stanford Football team played a lot better tonight than they did last weekend when they almost lost to san jose state, this game they killed duke 50 to 13, but i cant wait to go next week because the USC Trojans are gonna be in town and they are no joke, this will also be the hardest game of the year but it will also be the game where we make the most money so it gonna be just a great weekend.
